Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Provided a Set of New Weapons

According to the leaked ordering guide, the car was described simply as the LP700-4, following the naming structure of the Gallardo and Murcielago lines. The car was initially rumored to be called Jota, but the latest information suggests the “Aventador” name will be used for production.


Lamborghini Aventador rumored to be using a carbon fiber monocoque chassis that drops the supercar’s weight by 500 lbs from the Murcielago while also increasing its rigidity by over 70%. Despite the lighter models, Lamborghini is still using some famous aspects of past Lamborghini models on the Aventador, including the use of the iconic scissor doors that have come to define Lamborghinis from the rest of the exotic car market.


Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 confirms the impressive power and performance specs. Powering the supercar is a 6.5 liter V12 producing 700 PS (690 bhp / 515 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is coupled to a 7-speed independent shift rod transmission with shift times of just 50 milliseconds. The model also features a Haldex all-wheel drive system.


With a curb weight of just 1575 kg (3,472 pounds), that's all good for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 2.9 seconds, as we had previously reported. Top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph). The only numbers that don't sound so remarkable are the 17.2 liters/100 km fuel-economy figure and the C02 emissions quotient of 398 g/km.


Also interesting facts revealed includes a pair of new exterior colors: metallic Grigio Estoque (a type of dark gray), and a pearl Arancio Argos orange.
